I used the mobile $10 off of $50 yesterday, today I used the one in the ad in the Sunday paper.
$58.18 originally, $23.08 after all discounts and coupons... and now I have FRESH FRUIT! This did cause me to change up my menu somewhat and substitute some bananas for oranges.
Here is the updated menu with costs... just under $25 for the week, thanks to the crazy good deals at Target. My grocery expenses should be a good bit lower the next several weeks, as I did a lot of stocking this weekend. I am not hard and fast that I spend no more than $25 a week.. it is that I average $25 a week.

Do you find that going to Target early in the morning works best for finding the meats that have the coupons on them? I have 4 of the $10 off $50 Target coupons and I was thinking of going to Target tomorrow morning to use one of them to stock up on chicken and ground beef. Thoughts? PS- I like your blog :)
ReplyDeleteTasha... thanks for the kind comments. And yes, I do find getting there early helps. First, everyone else is still in bed, so there are less people to walk around, and second, I often find that is when I can find the meat selections that are marked down due to the sell by date being that day or the next... I always make sure I use that meat that day or get it recipe ready and freeze it or when time is severely lacking, just pop it in the freezer. I have found for meat at Target, if you buy it when it is marked down, they scan the mark down as they ring it, so to use your $10 off of $50 coupon, you will need to count the price after the discount... so a $3.29 pack of beef (normal price) with a $1 markdown will ring up at $2.29. I walk around the store with my calculator out!
