It was an interesting weekend shopping. Aldi's was out of whole wheat bread. I couldn't find good deals on meat or poultry. I had a hard time locating reasonably priced fresh fruit that was ripe enough to eat.  I do still have a straggling cantaloupe from Aldi's at $1.29.  I did find some good deals though. At Amelia's, I was able to snag a loaf of Pepperidge Farms 15 grain bread for $1.50, and some Earth Balance peanut butter (pb) that ended up costing 11¢ per 2 T serving, as compared to 10¢ per serving for the least expensive generic brand I could find.  Since the earth balance pb had flax added and no hydrogenated oils, I figured it was a very good buy and ended up with 3 jars.  I also found 7.5 oz bags of Choceur milk chocolate mini Easter eggs at Aldi's for $1.49.  My sweet tooth will be satisfied!

Again, if I'm planning on having friends in, or whatever, no meals get planned... it is order out time!
